Description

The Utah is a 250mm wide rectangular outdoor wall light with a graphite powder-coated aluminium frame and a frosted white polycarbonate diffuser panel set into the front face. A single E27 bulb fitting inside (bulb sold separately) casts light through the frosted panel and out of the open base, creating both forward-facing ambient light and a downward wash onto the wall below the fitting.

Rated IP65, the Utah is fully sealed against dust ingress and protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for external walls, covered porches, garden walls and exposed coastal locations where rain and wind-driven moisture are common. The 110mm projection from the wall and 110mm height give the fitting a compact cuboid profile that works on both residential facades and commercial entrances without overwhelming narrow pilasters or door surrounds.

The graphite finish is a dark charcoal tone with a low-sheen powder coat that resists fading and corrosion in UV exposure. The frosted diffuser softens the bulb filament or LED chip from view while maintaining useful light output, and the E27 socket accepts any standard screw-base LED, halogen or CFL bulb up to the rated wattage. The open base design allows heat to escape, extending bulb life and preventing condensation inside the fitting.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is fully sealed against dust and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be mounted on exposed external walls, covered porches and garden structures where rain, wind-driven moisture and coastal salt spray are present.

What bulb does it take?

The Utah takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting. The fitting accepts bulbs up to the maximum wattage stated in the specification.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted and the dimmer switch used. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer, the light output can be dimmed. Non-dimmable bulbs cannot be dimmed regardless of the switch.

Does the light shine downwards as well as forwards?

Yes. The open base design allows light to escape downwards, creating a wall-wash effect below the fitting. The frosted front panel casts light forwards. This dual-direction output provides both functional lighting and architectural accent.
