Description
The Usti SP is a garden spike light that stakes into soil or a planted border to throw light up onto shrubs, walls and features. It takes a single GU10 lamp, drawing up to 7W, and runs from a 220-240V AC mains supply. As a landscape spike light, its US equivalent is the staked pathway or spike fitting you would set along a path edge. The head sits on a 400mm spike that pushes into the ground, with the body angled to aim the beam where it is wanted.
Use it through garden beds, along path edges and beside doorways to graze plants, fences or low walls. Because it is a directional spike fitting rather than ambient room lighting, think of its output as accent throw onto a nearby surface, not floor coverage, so a small cluster spaced along a border builds the layered effect. The adjustable head lets you tilt each unit to pick out a single shrub or wash a section of wall. The IP54 rating suits sheltered, covered outdoor spots such as a porch or carport, so keep it clear of fully exposed positions and direct water jets.
Built from aluminium alloy in an anthracite finish, the Usti SP pairs a weather-resistant body with a ground spike that needs no fixings, just firm soil. The IP54 sealing guards against splashes and incidental moisture in a sheltered setting. The GU10 cap accepts a standard PAR16 LED lamp, so the tone and wattage are set by the bulb you choose, and the lamp is replaceable without disturbing the fitting. It measures 113 by 56 by 400mm and weighs 576g.

Frequently Asked
Is the Usti SP suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, within limits. The IP54 rating makes it splash-resistant and fine for sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or planted border. It should not be placed in fully exposed positions that take direct rain or water jets.
Can the beam angle be adjusted?
Yes. The head tilts on the spike body so you can aim the beam at a single shrub, a fence panel or a section of wall. This makes it easy to pick out features once the spike is staked in place.
Does it run on mains or a transformer?
It runs directly from a 220-240V AC mains supply, so no separate low-voltage transformer is needed. It should be wired into an appropriately protected outdoor circuit.
Is a bulb included?
The fitting uses a GU10 cap and takes a standard PAR16 LED lamp, which is not supplied. Choosing your own lamp lets you set the colour temperature and wattage up to the 7W maximum to suit the planting you are lighting.
