Description

The Knightsbridge T8BLED26 is a 1790mm twin LED batten fitting with integrated 60W LED delivering 6500 lumens at 4000K cool white. The fitting houses two LED channels behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser that spreads the light across a 120-degree beam angle, providing wide, even coverage for workshops, garages, storage areas and commercial back-of-house spaces.

Designed as a direct replacement for twin T8 fluorescent battens, this LED version removes the need for separate tube replacement and ballast maintenance. The fitting mounts to ceilings or joists via keyhole slots on the rear plate and connects to mains via a terminal block inside the pressed steel body. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments including utility rooms, storerooms, warehouses and plant rooms where overhead task lighting is needed without exposure to moisture or dust ingress.

The pressed steel body measures 1790mm long, 95mm wide and projects 85mm from the mounting surface once installed. The white powder-coat finish blends into white ceilings while the opal diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare when working beneath the fitting. At 110 lumens per watt the fitting delivers functional light levels without excessive heat buildup, and the constant-current driver stabilises output across typical mains voltage fluctuations. Can this replace an existing twin T8 fluorescent batten?

Yes. The fitting is designed as a direct replacement for twin T8 fluorescent battens. Remove the old fitting, connect the mains supply to the terminal block inside this LED batten, and fix to the ceiling or joists via the keyhole mounting slots.

Is it dimmable?

No. The constant-current driver does not support dimming. The output is fixed at 6500 lumens.

What does the L70B50 rating mean?

L70B50 of 50,000 hours means that after 50,000 hours of operation, the LED will still deliver at least 70% of its original lumen output, with no more than 50% of units in a batch falling below that threshold. At 12 hours per day that equates to approximately 11 years before noticeable degradation.

Can it be used in damp or dusty environments?

No. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only. For damp or dusty conditions you need a fitting with IP44 or IP65 rating.
