Description

The Knightsbridge NETTVBK is a 25 x 50mm TV outlet module with a female coaxial socket on the front and a screw terminal on the rear PCB. Designed to fit euro-module faceplates, the module accepts a standard coaxial cable from an aerial or satellite feed and presents a female socket for a TV or set-top box to plug into.

The module is intended for residential and light commercial installation where a modular grid system is used for switches, sockets and AV outlets. It fits a 25mm minimum mounting box depth and pairs with Knightsbridge euro-module faceplates in single, double or triple configurations. The screw terminal on the rear PCB accepts the coaxial cable's centre conductor and outer shield, providing a solderless connection that can be made and remade during installation or future maintenance.

The black ABS construction and IP20 rating make the module suitable for dry indoor locations only — not bathrooms or outdoor use. The module is certified to BS 5733, the British Standard for RF connectors for domestic and similar use. The 25 x 50mm footprint is the standard single-module width in euro-grid systems, allowing it to be combined with data, phone, HDMI or blanking modules in the same faceplate.

What faceplate does this module fit?

The module fits Knightsbridge euro-module faceplates, which accept 25 x 50mm grid modules. These faceplates are available in single, double, triple and larger configurations, and in a range of finishes including white, black, brushed chrome and polished brass. The module does not fit standard UK single or double gang faceplates.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 25mm mounting box depth is needed. The module itself has a 25mm recessed depth, so a 25mm back box sits flush with the wall surface once the faceplate is fitted.

Can this be used for satellite as well as aerial feeds?

Yes. The female coaxial socket accepts standard coaxial plugs from both terrestrial TV aerial cables and satellite dish cables. The module is certified to BS 5733, which covers RF connectors for domestic use including both aerial and satellite signals.

Is the terminal connection soldered or screw-fixed?

The rear terminal uses a clamp and screw connection on the PCB, so no soldering is required. The coaxial cable's centre conductor and outer shield are clamped under screw terminals, making the connection straightforward and allowing it to be remade if the cable needs replacing.
