Description

The Tree is a six-light branching ceiling suspension with asymmetric matt black arms supporting six smoked glass shades, each holding a single E27 bulb. The arms extend at varying angles from a central junction fed by a rigid drop rod and circular ceiling plate, giving the fixture an irregular, sculptural spread of 168cm rather than the uniform geometry of a traditional chandelier.

The wide footprint suits long dining tables, kitchen islands of 1.6m or more, and open-plan living-dining rooms where a single fitting needs to cover a generous span. Mount height is fixed by the rigid drop rod at 42cm overall, so the fitting works best with ceilings of 2.5m or above where the lower edge of the shades clears head height over a seated dining table.

Each ovoid glass shade is tinted smoke grey, which softens the appearance of the bulb filament and casts a warmer, less glaring light than clear glass. The matt black metalwork covers the arms, lamp holders and ceiling plate in a single uniform finish, with no contrasting hardware. E27 GLS filament bulbs (sold separately) are recommended to make the most of the smoked glass; six bulbs are required in total.
