Description

The Knightsbridge TRKIT8ABC is a 1m track lighting kit comprising a single-circuit aluminium track rail and three adjustable GU10 spotlights in a brushed chrome finish. Each spotlight head rotates 350° on its mounting point and tilts 80° from vertical, allowing light to be directed onto walls, worktops, artwork or ceiling surfaces. The kit includes live and dead end accessories for terminating the track run at both ends.

Designed for kitchens, galleries, retail displays and home offices where adjustable accent or task lighting is needed without fixed ceiling points, the 1m track mounts directly to a ceiling or beam and connects to standard 230V mains wiring at one end. The three spotlight heads slide along the track and lock into position anywhere on the 1m run, so spacing can be adjusted to suit the room layout. Each head accepts a standard GU10 bulb up to 40W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and beam angle depending on bulb choice.

The brushed chrome finish on both the track rail and the cylindrical spotlight heads provides a mid-sheen metallic surface that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and modern interiors without the high reflectivity of polished chrome. The aluminium construction keeps the weight to approximately 1.2kg for the complete kit, making it suitable for standard plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings. The 56mm track width and 180mm projection from ceiling to bulb face allow the kit to be ceiling-mounted in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceiling heights without the heads sitting too low into the room.

What bulbs does this track kit take?

Each of the three spotlight heads accepts a standard GU10 bulb up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with GU10 LED bulbs between 4-7W and 3000K-4000K for kitchen or workspace lighting.

Can the spotlight heads be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The three spotlight heads slide along the 1m track and lock into position with a twist-lock mechanism. Once the track is ceiling-mounted and wired, the heads can be repositioned anywhere along the track without re-wiring or removing the track from the ceiling.

Is the track kit dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulbs you fit. If you use dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the kit will dim. With non-dimmable bulbs or halogen bulbs on a standard switch, dimming is not possible.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 180mm projection from ceiling to bulb face works in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings. In lower-ceiling rooms the track can still be fitted but the spotlight heads may sit lower into the room, which can be visually prominent depending on room size.
