Tosca 6 Light Square Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Tosca is a 450mm square flush ceiling light with six G9 bulb positions arranged behind a two-layer glass assembly, surrounded by rectangular crystal drops suspended from a polished chrome frame. The upper glass layer is clear, the inner layer frosted, and a single crystal sphere hangs at the centre to catch and multiply reflections when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower where a pendant would hang too low, the Tosca's 180mm projection from ceiling to base gives clearance without intrusion. The square footprint suits dining rooms, hallways, bedrooms and lounges where the fixture can be centred over a table or rug. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and becomes a secondary light source when the bulbs are on, amplifying the output from the six G9 capsules (sold separately).

Each of the rectangular crystal drops is cut to refract light into spectrum colours when angled light passes through, creating small rainbows on nearby walls and ceilings during direct sunlight or when dimmed at night. The frosted inner glass diffuses the six bulb points into a single wash of light rather than showing individual hotspots, while the clear outer glass layer and crystal drops add sparkle without scattering the beam. The 4.4kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or into a plasterboard anchor rated for the load.

What bulbs does the Tosca take?

The fixture takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each, sold separately. Most users pair it with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting. Halogen G9 bulbs are brighter but generate more heat.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 180mm projection from ceiling to base makes the Tosca suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower, where a pendant would hang too far into the room. The flush mount sits close to the ceiling without obstructing headroom.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, if paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself is dimmer-ready, but dimming performance depends on the bulb and dimmer combination. LED G9 bulbs require an LED-compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

How is the crystal maintained?

The crystal drops can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid sprays or polishes that leave residue on the cut surfaces.
