Description

Five integrated LED lights sit within one broad semi flush frame, holding the light close to the ceiling instead of dropping it into the room. At 73cm across it covers a fair stretch of ceiling, and the separate heads spread the output rather than concentrating it in a single bright spot. The colour is warm white, on the softer side of daylight, and the LEDs are fixed in place with the driver built into the fitting. There is no dimming, so it works from an ordinary wall switch.

We would fit this where the ceiling sits low and a pendant would be in the way: a hallway that turns a corner, a landing, a bedroom, or the middle of a kitchen where you want light reaching the worktops and the floor with nothing hanging at head height. At 36W it does the job of a main light in a decent sized room, so it can be the only fitting in a living room or a large bedroom rather than one of a pair. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, well away from shower spray and cooker steam.

The sand white finish runs across the frame and the heads alike, and being pale and close to the ceiling it will gather dust in time, so an occasional lift with a dry duster on a long handle is all it asks; turn the power off first and give the heads a moment to cool before you go near them. Because the LEDs are integral there are no lamps to buy or change. It carries a three year warranty.
