Description

Six warm white LED lights are gathered into a single semi flush fitting that spans 73cm across the ceiling. The colour is fixed at 3000K, so it reads soft and slightly yellow rather than clinical, and the sand black finish keeps the fitting quiet when it is switched off. There is no dimming, so it works at one steady output and suits a room where a wall switch is all the control needed.

It is one we reach for where a pendant would hang too low: a hallway with an ordinary ceiling height, a landing, a bedroom, or a kitchen you walk under all day. At this width it will carry a good sized living room or an open dining end on its own, and the light spreads out rather than pooling in one spot. In a plainer room it holds the ceiling line without crowding it. We stock the same fitting in sand white, and the wider Torch range runs to floor lamps, table lamps, wall lights and pendants if you want one idea to carry through a whole room.

The sand black finish is even across the whole fitting, and it sits against a white ceiling without shouting. Dust gathers on the upper faces, so run a dry microfibre cloth over them now and again with the power off at the switch, and lift any mark with a barely damp cloth, drying straight after; sprays and abrasive pads will dull the finish. It carries a three year warranty. This one belongs in dry rooms indoors, well away from shower steam and splashes. The LEDs and driver are built in, so there is nothing to unscrew and no lamps to buy.
