Description
The TOMIV2 is a directional GU10 spotlight bulb that draws just 4.9W while putting out 400 lumens, doing the job of an old 42W spotlight at a fraction of the running cost. The colour is a crisp 6500K daylight tone, which reads bright and neutral rather than yellow, and the 100 degree beam is wide for a spot, so the light spreads across a broader patch than a tight accent beam would. In the US this twist-lock cap is the same GU10 mains spotlight fitting used here, running directly from 220 to 240V mains with no transformer needed.
Because the beam opens out to 100 degrees, this bulb works well where you want even, washed light rather than a sharp pool, so it suits ceiling spots and track heads over kitchen worktops, living areas and hallways. The daylight colour keeps detail sharp, which is useful for task spots above a worktop or a workbench area. Several of these in a row will overlap to cover a run of ceiling, and the wide spread means fewer dark gaps between fittings than you would get from a narrow-beam lamp. It is a dry indoor bulb, so keep it to rooms away from damp and direct water.
Built in the standard PAR16 spot format, the TOMIV2 measures just 50mm across and 56mm deep and weighs only 18g, so it drops straight into any GU10 holder. The cap is a GU10 twist-lock that locates with a quarter turn, and the bulb runs on mains voltage with no separate driver or transformer to source. It is rated at 25,000 hours with a colour rendering of Ra 80, and it is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. The finish is white with a daylight output.

Frequently Asked
What fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 cap, the standard twist-lock mains spotlight fitting. You push it into the holder and turn a quarter turn to lock it. It runs straight off 220 to 240V mains, so no transformer or driver is required, unlike a low-voltage MR16 GU5.3 lamp.
What wattage of old bulb does it replace?
The TOMIV2 draws only 4.9W but gives 400 lumens, which is equivalent to a 42W traditional spotlight. The LED itself uses just 4.9W, so you get similar brightness for far less energy.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. Use it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer, as a dimmer circuit can cause flicker or shorten the bulb's life.
How long should it last and how bright is it?
It is rated for 25,000 hours of use and produces 400 lumens at a 6500K daylight tone with Ra 80 colour rendering. The 100 degree beam is wide for a spotlight, spreading light over a broad area rather than a tight pool.
