Description
The TOMIV2 is a directional LED spotlight bulb with a GU10 twist-lock cap, so it fits a standard mains spotlight socket and runs straight off 220-240V mains with no transformer needed (unlike a low-voltage GU5.3 / MR16 type). It draws just 6.5W while replacing an old 61W bulb, putting out 530 lumens of 3000K warm white light. The wide 100 degree beam spreads the output across a broad pool rather than a tight spot, giving an even wash from each fitting in the PAR16 spot format.
Use it in recessed downlights, surface spotlights and track heads through living rooms, kitchens, hallways and bedrooms. The 100 degree beam suits general and ambient lighting across a room rather than narrow accent throw, so a cluster of fittings layers up to cover a wider floor area with soft, warm illumination. With an IP20 rating the bulb is for dry indoor positions only; keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp locations, where the fitting rating would govern instead. The 3000K tone reads as a relaxed, homely warm white that works well over seating and dining areas.
The bulb measures Ø50 by 56mm and weighs 22g, matching the common GU10 spotlight footprint, and carries an Ra 80 colour rendering figure for natural-looking colours indoors. Efficiency runs at 100 lm/W with a rated lifespan of 25,000 hours, so it changes far less often than a halogen equivalent. It is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard switched circuit rather than a dimmer. The finish is a clean white body. The TOMIV2 sits within our wider GU10 LED range, with matching caps available in other beam and output options.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 twist-lock cap, the standard mains-voltage spotlight base. Push it in and give a quarter turn to lock. As a GU10 it runs straight off 220-240V mains, so no separate transformer or driver is required, unlike a low-voltage GU5.3 / MR16 lamp.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The TOMIV2 draws only 6.5W but replaces a 61W conventional bulb, giving 530 lumens of warm white light. The low draw is the bulb's own consumption; the 61W figure is the equivalent it stands in for, so you get similar brightness for a fraction of the energy.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, the TOMIV2 is non-dimmable, so use it on a standard on/off switched circuit. Fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or buzzing and may shorten its life. If you need dimming, choose a bulb specified as dimmable.
Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The bulb itself is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it out of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp areas. Where moisture is a factor, suitability depends on the IP rating of the fitting rather than the bulb.
