Description
The TOMIV2 is a GU10 LED spotlight bulb that gives a directional, controlled beam in place of an old halogen spot. It draws just 4.9 W yet stands in for a 42 W old bulb, putting out 400 lumens at a 3000K warm white tone. The 100 degree beam spreads the light fairly wide for a spotlight, so it washes a surface rather than pin-pointing it. Across the Atlantic this is the bulb US buyers look for as a PAR16 reflector with a twist-lock fitting, and it slots into the same recessed and track spots a halogen GU10 once filled.
The wide 100 degree spread makes it a good fit for general spotlighting where you want even cover rather than a tight pool of light. It suits kitchen and hallway downlight fittings, track heads over a worktop or display, and accent spots in a living room or bedroom, throwing a soft warm wash across the wall or ceiling below. Group several heads to light a room evenly, or use one over a reading chair or shelf for a focused glow. Suitability for damp or outdoor spots depends on the fitting it sits in, not the bulb, so keep the TOMIV2 to dry indoor positions.
The bulb measures Ø50 by 56 mm with a white body and weighs 18 g, matching the standard GU10 spotlight footprint. Its GU10 cap is the mains twist-lock type, so it runs straight from a 220 to 240 V AC supply and needs no transformer or driver, unlike the low-voltage GU5.3 MR16 format. Colour rendering is rated Ra 80 and it is rated for 25,000 hours of use. The TOMIV2 is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard non-dimmed circuit. We stock this GU10 in warm white as part of a wider range of caps and shapes.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 cap, the mains twist-lock spotlight fitting that pushes in and turns a quarter-clockwise to lock. It runs directly from a 220 to 240 V AC supply, so no transformer is required. This is different from the GU5.3 MR16 two-pin cap, which is low-voltage and needs a driver.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The TOMIV2 draws 4.9 W but produces 400 lumens, which stands in for a 42 W old halogen GU10 spot. You get a very similar light output for a fraction of the running cost. The LED itself only ever uses 4.9 W.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, the TOMIV2 is non-dimmable. Use it on a standard non-dimmed circuit and switch, as a dimmer may cause flicker or shorten the bulb's life. It is rated for around 25,000 hours of use.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
The bulb itself is for dry indoor use only, and any outdoor, porch or bathroom suitability comes from the fitting it sits in, not the bulb. Always check that the luminaire is rated for the location. Keep the TOMIV2 to dry indoor spotlight and track fittings.
