Tizio 10 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - French Gold

The Tizio is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light with ten G4 bulb fittings arranged across curved French gold arms radiating from a central hub. Each arm terminates in a facet-cut Asfour crystal sphere that refracts light when the bulbs are lit. The semi-flush canopy sits close to the ceiling at a 470mm total drop, allowing the fitting to work in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights where a full chandelier would hang too low.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls where ceiling height limits chandelier options but decorative impact is still wanted, the Tizio combines the visual presence of a crystal light with the practical clearance of a semi-flush fitting. The curved arms give the fitting movement and sculptural form rather than the static geometry of many semi-flush designs. The French gold finish is a warm mid-tone gold with slight antiquing, sitting between polished brass and antique brass in colour.

The ten G4 bulb positions require low-voltage halogen capsule bulbs up to 20W each (sold separately). This fitting is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 bulbs — only halogen capsules work reliably with the transformer built into the canopy. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer and halogen bulbs, allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness down to a soft ambient glow. At 6.3kg the Tizio needs secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard fixing.

The Asfour crystals are Egyptian-cut lead crystal, known for high refractive index and clean facet edges. Each sphere is identical in size and cut pattern, giving uniform light dispersion across all ten arms when the bulbs are lit. The crystals sit proud of the arm tips on short connectors, allowing light to enter the crystal from multiple angles and exit as refracted patterns onto the ceiling surface above.

Can I use LED G4 bulbs in this fitting?

No. The Tizio is designed for halogen G4 capsule bulbs only and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 bulbs. The built-in transformer is rated for halogen loads and may not work reliably with LED equivalents.

What ceiling height does this suit?

The 470mm drop works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m. Below 2.4m the fitting may feel too low; above 2.7m a longer pendant or chandelier would typically be more proportionate.

Is the fitting dimmable?

Yes, when paired with halogen G4 bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer. Leading-edge dimmers are not recommended and may cause flickering or buzzing.

How are the crystals attached?

Each Asfour crystal sphere sits on a short connector at the end of each curved arm. The crystals are removable for cleaning but should be handled carefully to avoid scratching the faceted surfaces.
