Description

This is a long, narrow serving bowl in mango wood, shaped with three rounded hollows in a row and a slim handle that tapers out from one end. It measures 40cm long, 9cm wide and 2.5cm tall, so the hollows are shallow: right for small nibbles you pick up with your fingers rather than anything runny. The wood is brown, with its grain clearly visible across the top and down into each hollow, and at 0.262KG it is light enough to lift by the handle and pass along the table.

Three hollows means three things side by side: salted nuts, olives and dried figs before dinner, or almonds, raisins and chocolate buttons for a film night. Its length suits a narrow spot, so it runs neatly down the middle of a dining table, along a kitchen island or across a sideboard where guests gather with a drink.
