The Brook is a woodland cushion measuring 55 x 55cm, worked in a jacquard weave on 100% polyester and finished in a deep forest green. The design draws on medieval tapestry work: fallow deer graze among oaks and a weeping willow beside a winding brook, with the classic Morris hand for foliage and small flowering plants filling the ground. It is a large square, generous enough to hold its shape on a garden chair, and it carries a matching piped trim around the edge with a discreet zip along one side.

This is an outdoor cushion, and that is where it earns its keep. The polyester face is water resistant, so a shower or a spilled drink beads and wipes rather than soaking in, which makes it a sensible choice for a patio seat, a garden bench or a bamboo-framed lounge chair.
