Description

The Tessaro Large is an 85cm-wide empire-form chandelier built from white leather straps suspended between a chrome top crown and a chrome base ring set with cushion-cut K9 crystals. An integrated 3000K LED sits inside the crystal ring, casting warm light through the structure and through a single faceted crystal drop hung at the centre. Overall fitting height is 113cm and the weight is 48.5kg.

Sized for grand interiors with high ceilings, the Tessaro suits double-height entrance halls, stairwell voids, formal dining rooms above a long table, and open-plan reception rooms with a 3.5m+ ceiling height. The 150cm cable allows the fitting to drop into a stairwell or above a dining surface, and the cable can be shortened on installation. Given the 48.5kg weight, the ceiling fixing point must be structurally rated and installation by a qualified electrician is required.

The combination of soft white leather and faceted K9 crystal is the defining feature: the leather straps absorb light and read as matte ribbons, while the crystal ring concentrates sparkle at eye level when viewed from below. Chrome hardware at the crown, base ring and central drop ties the metal accents together. K9 is an optical-grade lead-free crystal glass with high light transmission, used here in cushion-cut facets to fragment the LED output into directional sparkle on surrounding walls and ceilings.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting itself is 113cm tall with a further 150cm of adjustable cable, so a minimum ceiling height of around 3.5m is recommended to give appropriate clearance below the chandelier. It works best in double-height halls, stairwells and formal rooms with taller-than-standard ceilings.

Does it use a replaceable bulb?

No. The Tessaro uses an integrated 3000K LED rather than a replaceable lamp. The LED runs on a 120V-220V driver, which suits UK 230V mains.

What's involved in installation?

At 48.5kg, the chandelier requires a structurally rated ceiling fixing point and must be installed by a qualified electrician. The 150cm cable can be shortened during fitting to set the correct drop height for the room.

How are the leather straps cleaned?

Dust the leather straps with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays and chemical cleaners, which can mark white leather. The crystal ring and chrome hardware can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and dried immediately.
