Description

The Tessaro Large is an 85.1cm empire-silhouette chandelier built from twelve sweeping black leather trusses suspended from a polished chrome crown, framing a horizontal ring of faceted K9 crystal at its widest point. An integrated 3000K LED core sits inside the crystal band, throwing warm light outwards through the cut glass and downwards through the open base of the cage.

Sized for large-scale interiors, the Tessaro suits double-height foyers, formal dining rooms, stairwell voids and hotel lobbies with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above. The 150cm cable suspension allows the chandelier to drop into the upper third of a tall room, with the crystal ring positioned at eye level for seated diners or at the upper landing of a staircase. Installation requires a structural ceiling fixing rated for the 48.5kg total weight.

The leather trusses are stitched along their edges and shaped under tension to form the curved empire profile, softening what would otherwise read as a hard metal cage. The K9 crystal band is set in a chrome channel with each stone cut to maximise light refraction, producing scattered highlights on surrounding walls and ceilings when the LED is lit. The combination of black leather, polished chrome and clear crystal pairs the fitting with both contemporary interiors and more traditional formal rooms.

What ceiling height is required?

The Tessaro Large stands 113cm tall with an additional 150cm of cable suspension, giving an installed drop of up to 2.6m from ceiling to base. It is designed for ceiling heights of 3.5m or above, making it best suited to double-height rooms, foyers and stairwells. Cables can be shortened on installation to set a lower drop.

How is the chandelier fixed to the ceiling?

The fitting weighs 48.5kg, so a structural fixing is essential. The ceiling fixing point must be rated to safely carry this load and should be installed by a qualified electrician into a joist or a properly engineered backing plate. A standard plasterboard ceiling rose is not sufficient.

What light source does it use?

The Tessaro uses a single integrated LED light source rated at 3000K (warm white), housed within the K9 crystal ring at the centre of the fitting. The integrated LED is not user-replaceable like a standard bulb and is designed for the lifespan of the fitting.

Is the leather a real material or a finish?

The trusses are genuine leather, stitched along their edges and shaped under tension to form the curved empire silhouette. Over time leather develops a natural patina; clean only with a dry, soft cloth and avoid leather conditioners or solvents, which can mark the surface or affect the chrome and crystal fittings.
