Description

Telvora is a small LED table lamp built around a steel sphere in a glossy white finish, with a wide opening cut at an angle into one side and a soft grey lining. The ball rests on a round white base, and the whole lamp stands 13.5cm tall and 10.5cm across, on a base 9cm across, so it needs very little room on a shelf or a bedside table. It takes a GU10 LED bulb rated at 2.8W and 250lm, with an energy class of F. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: this is a lamp for indoor, dry rooms.

Because the opening faces upwards and to one side, the light leaves as a directed pool rather than an all-round glow, which suits it to accent work beside a row of books, on a sideboard or at the end of a desk. We like it in a living room, a bedroom or a home office, anywhere a small pool of light is wanted without the bulk of a full-size lamp. The white sphere sits quietly against pale walls and neutral furniture, and the grey lining gives the opening a little depth even when the lamp is unlit. It also works well in a guest room or on a hallway console, where a soft background light is enough.

The body is steel with a white finish on the outside and the grey lining within the opening. A cord switch on the cable turns the lamp on and off, so there is no reaching behind furniture for a wall switch.
