Description

These stoneware side plates come as a set of four, each 20.5cm across and 2cm tall. That is the true side plate size: big enough for toast and butter at breakfast, a slice of cake in the afternoon or bread beside a dinner plate, without crowding the table. Fine raised rings circle each plate, and the glaze moves through soft bands from the centre out to the rim, so the four multicoloured plates have real depth of tone. Stoneware is fired at a high temperature, which gives a dense, hard-wearing ceramic for everyday use.
