Description
The Talvera P is a compact recessed LED downlight with a brass finish on a cast aluminium body. It sits neatly in the ceiling, with a round brass trim 7.5cm across and an inner ring that adjusts, so you can angle the light where it is wanted. The LED is built in and gives a warm white light at 3000K, a soft, homely tone rather than a cool office white, and a clear glass shade sits over it. Behind the ceiling it needs 6.5cm of depth, and the hole is cut 6.6 to 6.8cm across, so check both before you order.
We like it for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and studies, where a row of small brass downlights gives a ceiling a warmer, more finished look than plain white trims. The adjustable ring is the useful part: tilt it towards a painting, a bookcase or a reading chair and the light lands on the thing you want to see rather than on the floor. At 5.5cm tall and just 0.12KG, it is a slim, neat fitting that suits ceilings with limited space above them.
The LEDs are replaceable, so when the light source eventually needs changing, it can be swapped rather than replacing the whole downlight. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it runs from your wall switch like any other ceiling light. Spring clips hold it in the cut-out, and as a wired-in ceiling light it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download, so your electrician can check the details before the day. Aluminium is light and does not rust, which suits a fitting that may stay in the ceiling for many years.

Frequently Asked
What size hole does the Talvera P need?
The cut-out is 6.6 to 6.8cm across, and the downlight needs 6.5cm of depth behind the ceiling, so check the void first.
What colour of light does it give?
It gives a warm white light at 3000K from a built-in LED, a soft tone that sits well in living rooms and bedrooms.
Can the LED be replaced?
Yes. The LEDs are replaceable, so the light source can be changed without replacing the whole downlight when the time comes.
Is the brass finish solid brass?
No. The body is cast aluminium with a brass colour finish, which keeps the downlight light at 0.12KG while giving the warm metallic look of brass.
Can the light be angled?
Yes, the inner ring adjusts, so you can tilt the light towards a painting, a shelf or a favourite chair rather than only at the floor.
Does it have its own switch?
No, it has no switch of its own; it is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing light switch.
