Description

A driver is the quiet, unseen part of an LED scheme, and this one is a shallow round unit finished in plain white, 115mm across and only 22mm deep. It is made to work with phase-cut dimming, the leading and trailing edge type used on ordinary household dimmer switches, so the light can be taken down low without a separate control system sitting behind it. The white casing is neutral enough to sit unnoticed alongside other white hardware.

We would choose this where a small LED fitting or a short run of them needs a tidy supply and the dimming has to behave properly at the bottom of the dial. It works as well in a kitchen, hallway or bedroom as it does in a shop fit or a small office where the lighting is dropped back through the evening, and the slim body keeps it unobtrusive wherever it ends up. It suits anyone specifying LED fittings that call for a constant current supply rather than mains voltage lamps.
