Brosmena Paper Pendant Light 40cm - White & Wood

The Brosmena is a paper pendant light with a ribbed white lantern shade that swells into a soft, wide dome. A light wood collar and a short wood stem sit on top. A slim white cord drops from a round white ceiling canopy, and the body pairs steel with wood in white and brown, giving a white & wood finish. The light measures 40cm in diameter and 110cm in overall height. It takes an E27 bulb, the standard large screw cap, and the bulb is not included. We like that this leaves you free to choose the colour and brightness yourself. At IP20 it is made for indoor, dry rooms.

Paper softens and spreads light, which is why a lantern shade like this suits the places where people gather and linger. Hung over a dining table, it casts a calm, even glow across the faces and plates beneath it. At 40cm across it has real presence without crowding a smaller room. We think it works just as well in a living room, a bedroom or a hallway that needs something gentler than a bare bulb. There is no switch on the cord, because the light is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Paper is happiest kept dry, so dust the ribbed shade with a soft, dry brush or cloth rather than anything damp. Fit a warm white bulb for the cosiest glow through the paper.

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for indoor, dry rooms only, so we suggest a dining room, living room, bedroom or hallway instead.
