Description

The Stono is a ground spike light for the garden, staked directly into soil or a planted border to throw light upward and out across foliage, paths and feature plants. It takes a single E27 lamp up to 20W, running from a 220-240V AC mains supply, and accepts GLS, CFL or LED sources so the brightness and tone can be set by the bulb you fit. In US terms this sits with landscape and pathway spike lighting, marking edges and grazing planting rather than lighting a whole space.

Because this is accent and pathway lighting rather than ambient room lighting, its effect is best judged by where the spike is positioned and which lamp goes in. Push it into a bed to wash a shrub or small tree, line a path or driveway edge to define the route after dark, or angle it against a wall or fence to graze the surface. With a Ø390 mm shade it casts a broad pool around the spike, so spacing several along a border gives even coverage between fittings rather than a single tight beam.

The body is moulded ABS in a granite finish, sized at Ø390 by 370 mm and weighing 1.74 kg, with an IP65 rating that makes it weatherproof for fully exposed outdoor and wet locations. The integral spike anchors it into the ground, with no wall or recessed fixing involved, so it can be repositioned as planting grows. Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, so it is weatherproof and rated for fully exposed outdoor and wet locations such as open borders and driveways. The spike anchors it into soil or a planted bed.
