Description
The STONO is a garden spike light built around an E27 lampholder taking up to 25W, so the brightness and tone are set by the bulb you choose (GLS, CFL or LED). As an led spike light it pushes a focused upward wash from a single source, making it a flexible way to pick out planting or a feature once dusk sets in. Running on 220-240V AC mains, it accepts standard E27 bulbs rather than a low-voltage type, which keeps replacement simple. In US terms a fitting of this sort sits with landscape spike and pathway lights used to graze borders and beds after dark.
Push the spike into soil, a flower bed or the edge of a border and angle the head to throw light where it works hardest, whether that is up into shrubs, across a path edge or onto a wall or fence. Because it stakes into the ground rather than fixing to a surface, it can be repositioned as planting grows or a layout changes through the seasons. Coverage depends entirely on the bulb fitted, so think of it as a single accent throw onto one plant, post or section of wall rather than general area lighting. Several units spaced along a border build a layered effect along a path or driveway.
The body is moulded in ABS with a granite finish, and the IP65 rating means it is weatherproof and suited to fully exposed outdoor positions including rain and wet ground. It measures Ø300 by 280 mm and weighs 1.19 kg, with the spike forming part of the fitting so no separate base or bracket is needed. There is no transformer to specify since it runs direct from mains, and the E27 cap means a wide choice of bulb wattage and colour temperature is available. The STONO range includes further decking and ground options for matching a wider scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The STONO is rated IP65, which means it is weatherproof and protected against water from any direction, so it can be used in fully exposed garden positions including rain and damp soil. It is designed to be staked into the ground rather than sheltered, making it suitable for beds, borders and pathways.
Can the angle be adjusted?
Yes. The head can be tilted on its spike so you can direct the beam onto whatever you want to highlight, such as a shrub, tree, wall or post. Once the spike is pushed into the ground you can also rotate the whole fitting to fine-tune the direction.
Does it need a separate transformer?
No. The STONO runs on 220-240V AC mains, so there is no low-voltage transformer or driver to source. It connects to your standard outdoor mains supply and takes the bulb you choose.
Is a bulb included?
The fitting uses a standard E27 cap and accepts GLS, CFL or LED bulbs up to a maximum of 25W, so you can match the brightness and colour temperature to your scheme. Check the listing details for whether a bulb is supplied, as the E27 base lets you fit your own if not.
