Description
The Stono is a garden spike light that stakes directly into soil to throw light across planting, paths and garden features. It runs on a 220-240V AC mains supply and takes a single E27 lamp rated up to 15W, with the holder accepting GLS, CFL or LED sources so the light output and tone can be set to suit the spot. Sold across the Atlantic as a landscape spike light or pathway light, it does the same job in either market: a ground-staked fitting that lifts a chosen area out of the dark. The round head measures Ø230mm and sits on a 200mm body.
Spike fittings like this suit garden borders, flower beds, shrub edges and the margins of a patio or driveway, where the point pushes into open ground rather than fixing to any surface. Coverage depends on the lamp fitted, so rather than a fixed room figure think of it as a pool of light around the spike: position it close to the plants or feature you want to pick out, and use several along a path or bed to build a continuous run. Because the head sits a little above ground, it works well for grazing low foliage or marking the line of a walkway after dark.
The body is moulded in ABS plastic with a granite finish that blends into stone, gravel and paving. An IP65 rating means it is sealed against dust and water jets, so it copes with exposed outdoor positions and wet weather rather than only sheltered corners. Installation is by ground spike: the point presses into soil or a border and the fitting is angled by hand, with no wall, ceiling or recessed mounting involved. The complete unit weighs 858g. The Stono range covers further outdoor spike and ground fittings for matching a scheme across a garden.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The Stono carries an IP65 rating, which seals it against dust and water jets, so it handles fully exposed garden positions and wet weather. It is built for staking into borders, beds and path edges outdoors.
Does it come with a bulb?
No bulb is supplied. The E27 holder accepts GLS, CFL or LED lamps rated up to 15W, so you choose the brightness and colour temperature to suit the planting or feature you are lighting. An LED lamp is the most efficient choice for a fitting left on through the evening.
Can the angle be adjusted?
The head sits on a spike that pushes into soil, so you set the direction by hand when staking it and by how deep you press the point in. This lets you aim the light at a shrub, border or path edge and reposition it later if the planting changes.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the granite ABS housing and lens with a soft damp cloth, avoiding harsh solvents that could mark the finish. Clearing soil splash and leaf debris from the head now and then keeps the output bright, and it is best done with the lamp switched off and cool.
