Description

The SpektroLED Evo is a fire-rated recessed LED downlight with adjustable wattage (5W or 7W) and selectable colour temperature (2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 6000K) controlled by switches on the rear of the fitting. The polished chrome bezel tilts through 90 degrees to direct light onto walls, artwork or specific features within a room. The fitting is IP65 rated from the front and IP20 from above, allowing installation in bathrooms and wet-rated zones.

Designed for use in ceilings requiring fire certification, the SpektroLED Evo carries 30/60/90-minute fire ratings for solid timber joists, 30-minute ratings for web joists and I-joists, and meets acoustic rating ISO 10140-2:2010. The 70mm cut-out fits standard ceiling apertures and the 56mm recessed depth accommodates typical ceiling voids. The fitting is IC-rated for direct contact with loft insulation without overheating. First-fix and second-fix connectors allow the cable to be terminated and concealed during decoration, with the downlight plugged in afterwards.

The polished chrome finish provides a reflective metallic accent that pairs with both traditional and modern interiors. The pressed steel construction and prismatic diffuser distribute the SMD LED output evenly across a 60-degree beam angle. At 7W the fitting delivers between 745lm and 865lm depending on the CCT selected, giving sufficient task and general lighting for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and living rooms with 2.4m ceiling heights. The fitting is dimmable with trailing-edge dimmers and carries a 5-year warranty.

Two DIP switches on the rear of the fitting allow you to select between 5W and 7W output and between 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K colour temperatures. Adjust before installation or after disconnecting mains power.

Can this be installed in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP65 rating from the front allows installation in bathroom zones 1 and 2 (within 2.25m of a bath or shower) provided the fitting is installed correctly with all cable entries sealed. The IP20 rating from above means the ceiling void itself must be dry.

Is the tilt mechanism smooth?
