Description

The Spar is a 14-light linear suspension fixture built from a cluster of faceted polyhedral shades arranged in an irregular, sculptural formation. Each shade has a matt white powder-coated exterior and a gold-plated reflective interior, with an E27 GLS filament bulb (sold separately) at its centre. The cluster spans 142cm in diameter with an overall height of 190cm, suspended from slim cables.

Designed for kitchen islands, long dining tables, double-height entrance halls and open-plan living spaces, the Spar works best where its full width can be appreciated and the angled shades can throw warm reflected light across multiple directions. The 190cm overall drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the suspension cables, allowing the cluster to be set at the right height for the ceiling and the surface beneath it.

The contrast between the matt white exterior and the polished gold-plated interior is the defining feature of the fitting. When lit, the gold lining catches and amplifies the warm output of E27 filament bulbs, while the white outer faces stay relatively cool and graphic against the ceiling. The 14 individual shades are arranged at varied angles, so the light pattern shifts as you move around the room rather than reading as a single uniform line.
