Description

The Solisca is a 50cm diameter flush ceiling light with an integrated 28W LED delivering 3000K warm white light through a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The matt black metal body houses a central reflecting disc that redirects light through the outer diffuser ring, creating an even spread of illumination without visible hotspots or glare.

Designed for rooms with standard or low ceiling heights (2.4-2.6m), the Solisca works as primary ambient lighting in living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners, hallways and bedrooms where a single fitting needs to provide adequate light across a 15-20m² floor area. The flush mount sits close to the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for spaces where a pendant would hang too low or where a recessed downlight cannot be installed. The fitting can also be wall-mounted as a decorative panel light in larger hallways or on feature walls.

The 28W LED output replaces approximately 200W of halogen equivalent, providing functional brightness without the heat build-up or energy draw of older fittings. The matt black finish on the metal body and central disc absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the fitting recedes visually when unlit and presents as a dark circular profile against white or light-coloured ceilings. The satin polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and does not yellow over time like acrylic alternatives. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

Can this be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches. Connecting the fitting to a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The Solisca works best in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m. In lower ceilings the 50cm diameter provides adequate spread without overwhelming the space; in higher ceilings a second fitting or supplementary lighting may be needed for even coverage.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting offers no protection against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations outside bathroom zones.

Can it be wall-mounted?

Yes. The Solisca can be surface-mounted on walls as well as ceilings, providing an alternative decorative panel light in hallways, stairwells or feature walls where indirect ambient light is needed.
