Description

This is a solderless clip-on connector for joining 12V DC LED strip, supplied in a pack of 10. It accepts a 4mm-wide strip end, holding the contacts against the copper pads inside a small housing measuring 4.5 × 6.9 × 17 mm, so two cut strip ends or a strip and a feed cable can be linked without soldering. As a passive coupler it simply carries the supply through; it adds no light of its own.

Rated IP20, it is intended for dry indoor runs such as under-cabinet, shelf and cove lighting. Each connector is reusable: lift the catch, slide the strip in to the marked depth and close it to make the contact. We also stock the matching 4mm 12V LED strip, compatible LED drivers and aluminium profiles with diffusers to finish the run.

Which LED strip does this connector fit?

It is sized for 4mm-wide single-colour LED strip running at 12V DC. Check that your strip's pad spacing matches before fitting, as wider or higher-voltage strips need a different connector.

Do I need to solder it?

No. This is a solderless connector: open the clip, insert the cut strip end up to the marked line and close the catch to hold the contacts in place. It can be opened and reused if you need to adjust the run.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of damp, splashes and exposed outdoor positions. For wet or sheltered outdoor runs use an IP-rated weatherproof joining method instead.

How many connectors do I need?

The pack contains 10 connectors. Allow one for each join, including where you link a power feed to the strip and at every point you have cut the strip to length.
