Description
This SMD LED strip puts spaced surface-mount diodes along a flexible 5 metre reel, drawing 9W per metre at 24V DC. The colour is RGBW, mixing red, green and blue for full colour with a dedicated 4000K white channel, so it can hold a clean neutral white or shift through a wide colour range under a controller. Known in the US as LED tape light or a light strip, it ships on a single 5m roll and can be cut to length at the marked points every 25cm, letting you trim the run to fit the space being lit.
Spaced SMD diodes give a bright, even line of light that suits cove lighting, under-cabinet runs, shelf edges and outline detail around a garden room, pergola or patio. Because it carries an IP65 rating it copes with damp and fully exposed outdoor positions as well as kitchens and bathrooms, making it a flexible choice for both indoor and exterior accent work. Coverage is best judged by run length rather than room area: each metre adds the same output, so plan the layout around the line you want to trace rather than a floor-area figure, joining or trimming sections at the cut points to suit.
The strip runs on a separate 24V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be matched to the strip's voltage and total wattage. It will not plug straight into a mains socket, so size the driver to the full length being installed. The flexible backing follows curves and corners, the diodes are rated to around 30,000 hours, and the colour rendering sits at Ra 80 for natural-looking tones. With IP65 sealing and RGBW control on one reel, it handles wet and dry locations alike. Matching drivers and controllers are available across our LED strip range.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not mains voltage, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total length installed, allowing for 9W per metre, and do not connect the strip directly to a wall socket.
Can I cut the strip to length?
Yes, the strip can be cut to length at the marked cut points every 25cm. Only cut at these marked intervals so each section keeps a complete circuit. The full reel is 5 metres, which you can trim down or join with the right connectors.
Can it be used outdoors or in wet areas?
Yes. With an IP65 rating the strip is weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations, as well as damp indoor spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. It works equally well for sheltered patio, pergola and garden-room detailing.
What does RGBW mean on this strip?
RGBW combines red, green and blue diodes with a separate 4000K white channel. This lets the strip produce full colour mixing as well as a clean neutral white from the dedicated channel, all on one reel. A compatible controller is needed to switch between colours and the white setting.
