Description
This SMD LED strip is a flexible 5 metre reel of spaced RGB diodes, supplied for indoor accent and feature lighting. Known in the US as LED tape light, it runs at 14.4W per metre and outputs across the full red, green and blue spectrum for colour changing effects. The strip cuts to length at the marked points along the reel, so it can be trimmed to fit a shelf edge, a cabinet underside or a cove without waste, and the 10 mm width keeps it slim enough to tuck out of sight.
Use it under kitchen cabinets, along shelving, behind a TV unit or inside a display cabinet, where the RGB output picks out edges and adds a wash of changeable colour rather than lighting a whole room. Coverage here is decorative rather than ambient, so it works best as a line of accent light tracing an outline or grazing a surface. Plan the run against the 5 metre reel length, joining sections at the cut points where a layout needs a continuous line around a corner or recess.
The strip carries an IP00 rating, so keep it to dry indoor positions only, clear of bathrooms, kitchens splash zones and any outdoor or damp location. It runs from a 12V DC supply and is not mains-direct, so it needs a matching 12V LED driver, sized to the total wattage of the length used and ordered separately unless supplied as a kit. Rated to 15,000 hours, it is supplied on a self-adhesive backing for a clean fix to a flat surface.

Frequently Asked
Does this LED strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, not mains voltage, so it must be wired to a matching 12V LED driver. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you install at 14.4W per metre, and order it separately unless your kit already includes one.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. The reel has marked cut points along its length, and the strip can only be cut at those points. This lets you trim the 5 metre reel to fit a shelf, cabinet or cove exactly.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, splash areas and any outdoor or damp location, as it has no protection against moisture or dust.
How do I clean the strip?
Switch off the supply and wipe gently along the reel with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid sprays and solvents, and do not soak it, as the strip has no moisture protection at IP00.
