Our slim LED flush ceiling light is a long, narrow batten in white throughout, 65cm long, 5.8cm wide and 5.5cm high. A white plastic body carries a white opal plastic diffuser, which spreads the integrated LEDs into one even line of light. It gives 2,800 lumens at 4000K, a neutral white that keeps a workspace clear and bright, and the whole light weighs only 0.4KG. Its IP65 rating settles the question of damp: the body is sealed against dust and protected from jets of water, so it can live outdoors under a porch roof as readily as in a kitchen.

Because it sits flat to the ceiling and casts a long line of light, it is a natural choice for the rooms that work hardest: a kitchen, a utility room, a garage, a workshop or a long hallway, and a bathroom too, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. At 4000K the light falls on the crisper, cooler side of white, so it suits places where you want to see clearly rather than set a cosy mood.
