Description

The Sisessa is a compact recessed LED downlight with a black plastic body, a matching black trim and a frosted white plastic diffuser at its centre. It measures 8.6cm across and just 3.1cm high, so it suits spots where the void above the ceiling is shallow. The LED is integrated and gives 485 lumens of cool white light at 4000K, a crisp, clean tone that suits task areas. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from steam and splashing water.

Cool white light at this brightness is a practical choice for kitchens, utility rooms, home offices and hallways, anywhere you want clear light for cooking, working or reading. Two sprung clips hold the downlight firmly once it is pushed into a ceiling cut-out of 7 to 8cm, so it is worth checking the hole size before work begins. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall and runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. There is no bulb to change either, because the integrated LED is replaceable by a specialist.
