Description

The Simply is an adjustable floor lamp in satin nickel with a white enamel-finished interior diffuser and a single E27 fitting. The metal frame supports an articulated arm that extends up to 900mm from the base, with a hinged joint at the head allowing the diffuser to tilt and direct light onto a desk surface, armchair or specific wall area.

Designed for task lighting in home offices, reading corners beside sofas or armchairs, and bedside positions where directed light is needed without a fixed ceiling fitting, the Simply provides focused illumination rather than ambient room light. The weighted circular base gives stability on both hard floors and rugs, and the satin nickel finish pairs cleanly with contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors. The lamp accepts any E27 LED or filament bulb up to the manufacturer's maximum wattage (sold separately).

The white enamel finish inside the diffuser reflects light forward, increasing output efficiency and reducing glare when viewed from the side. The satin nickel exterior minimises reflections under daylight and wears well in high-use environments. The adjustable arm locks into position at various angles, allowing the head to be set at desk height (700-800mm), armchair reading height (1100-1300mm), or angled upward for indirect wash lighting onto a wall or ceiling.

This floor lamp carries an IP20 rating, suitable for indoor dry locations only. The manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty. The Simply is part of Ideal Lux's Italian-designed functional lighting range and ships from Niori's UK warehouse.

What bulb does the Simply take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED bulb (2700K-3000K) for reading and task work.

Can the arm and head be adjusted?

Yes. The arm extends up to 900mm from the base and locks at various angles. The head tilts on a hinge, allowing the diffuser to be angled towards a desk, armchair or wall.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The lamp itself is not dimmable. To achieve dimming, you would need to use a dimmable E27 LED bulb paired with a compatible plug-in dimmer between the lamp and the mains socket.

What rooms is it suitable for?

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations only. It works well in home offices, living rooms, bedrooms and study areas where task lighting is needed. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
