Description
The Semporna is a single-stem artificial rose with one large, ruffled bloom in a warm orange. Its layered petals shade from soft peach to a deeper burnt orange at the edges, with a paler apricot heart, and each petal carries fine veining and a gently crinkled surface, so the flower reads as real from across a room. Long, dark green leaves sit beneath the bloom, and a slim stem holds it upright. It stands 66cm tall and measures 16cm in diameter, tall enough to rise well clear of the neck of a tall vase and hold its own as a single stem.
We see it living indoors, wherever a single flower can catch the eye: a hallway console, a mantelpiece, a bedside table or the centre of a dining table. Plastic needs no water and no daylight, so the bloom never wilts, which makes it a good choice for a dim landing, a busy kitchen shelf or a guest room that sits empty for weeks. The earthy orange sits comfortably beside wood, terracotta, linen and cream, and it brings warmth to a neutral scheme in every season. One stem in a slim bud vase looks considered; a few stems together in a wider vase give a fuller display.
The bloom, leaves and stem are all plastic, and the whole flower weighs just 0.06KG, light enough to sit happily in the slimmest bud vase or to move from room to room as the mood takes you. There is no watering, trimming or feeding, so once you have chosen its spot the work is done. As a piece of decor it belongs indoors, away from rain and frost. Stand it where you will see it most often, and it gives you a warm splash of colour without a weekly trip to the florist.
