Description
The Scope is a 29.5cm spike-mounted outdoor spotlight with a cylindrical black powder-coated aluminium head housing a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The head rotates on a horizontal axis and the bracket allows vertical tilt adjustment, giving control over beam direction once the spike is planted. The ground stake measures approximately 15cm and pushes into soil, lawn or soft ground, with a terminal block connection on a trailing cable feeding mains voltage to the fitting.
Designed for uplighting garden features, the Scope suits tree trunks, shrub beds, low walls and architectural details where directional accent light is needed after dark. The IP65 rating protects against rain and dust, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor use in exposed positions. The adjustable head allows the beam to be angled upward to graze a wall or trunk, or downward to pool light on a path edge or planting bed.
The aluminium construction combines corrosion resistance with a lightweight profile that simplifies repositioning if garden layouts change. The black powder coat provides a low-sheen finish that recedes visually during daylight and pairs with contemporary, modern and industrial garden schemes. The GU10 fitting accepts LED, halogen or halogen-equivalent bulbs up to 20W, allowing beam angle and colour temperature to be chosen based on the planting or feature being lit.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Scope take?
The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED GU10 between 3W-7W with a narrow beam angle (25-36°) for uplighting trees or features, or a wider beam (60°+) for wash lighting on walls.
Can it be used in flower beds and wet soil?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects the fitting against rain and dust ingress, and the spike is designed to be planted directly into soil, lawn or bark mulch. The terminal block connection should be weatherproofed according to the installation manual.
How is the beam direction adjusted?
The spotlight head rotates horizontally on its bracket and tilts vertically, allowing the beam to be angled upward, downward or to either side once the spike is in position. Adjustment is by hand — loosen the bracket joint, reposition, and tighten.
What cable connection does it use?
The Scope includes a terminal block on the trailing cable for mains connection. Installation requires a qualified electrician to connect the fitting to an outdoor-rated mains supply, typically run underground in conduit or armoured cable from a weatherproof junction box.
