Description

The Salmenne is a round LED flush ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, just 6cm deep and 31cm across. A white steel body carries a softly domed white plastic diffuser, decorated with fine gold-coloured lines that fan out from the centre and a scattering of tiny dots that catch the light. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 10W and giving 1,100 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room, away from bathrooms and outside walls.

Because it sits so close to the ceiling, this flush light suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low: a living room with a modest ceiling height, a study, a bedroom or a hallway. The gold-coloured lines give a plain white ceiling light a little pattern and warmth without shouting, so it looks at home beside pale painted walls or darker, moodier schemes. At 31cm across it suits an everyday room, and 1,100 lumens gives a bright, even wash of light for reading, tidying and quiet evenings at home.
