Description

The Saldana is an 8-light oval chandelier built on a classic pewter metal frame with eight G9 LED bulbs housed inside frosted opal glass shades, all wrapped within a curved organza outer shade. The oval footprint measures 914mm wide by 508mm deep, giving the fitting a substantial presence above a large dining table or in a double-height entrance hall without the circular symmetry of a traditional round chandelier.

Designed for installation in dining rooms, living rooms and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Saldana works best when positioned 750-900mm above a table surface or hung at approximately 2.1m floor clearance in a circulation space. The drop is adjustable on installation between 410mm minimum and 1092mm maximum, allowing the fitting to be set to suit the specific ceiling height and room proportions. The eight 3W G9 LEDs are included and provide a combined 24W output at 3000K warm white.

The organza shade diffuses the light from the eight bulbs into a soft, even glow that fills the room without creating harsh shadows or glare. The satin-etched opal glass around each individual bulb provides a secondary layer of diffusion, so the light source itself is never visible from any angle below the fitting. The classic pewter finish on the metal framework gives a warm grey-silver tone that works across both traditional and contemporary interiors, sitting comfortably alongside warm wood tones, soft greys and neutral palettes. The oval shape suits rectangular dining tables and elongated rooms better than a round chandelier would, distributing light along the length of the space rather than concentrating it in a single central point.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses eight standard G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W each. The bulbs are included with the chandelier and can be replaced with any standard G9 LED when needed. G9 bulbs are widely available in various colour temperatures if you prefer something other than the supplied 3000K warm white.

What size dining table does this suit?

The 914mm x 508mm oval footprint works well above rectangular dining tables between 1800mm and 2400mm long. For balance, the chandelier should be roughly two-thirds to three-quarters the length of the table. The fitting can also be positioned off-centre in an L-shaped kitchen-dining space or above a kitchen island.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the chain or rod length. Once installed and wired, changing the drop height requires partial disassembly and is not a routine adjustment. Set the drop to the correct height during the initial fitting.

How is the organza shade cleaned?

The organza can be dusted gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a feather duster. For more stubborn marks, remove the shade according to the fitting instructions and hand-wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, then air-dry flat. Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry organza.
