Description

The Ruka is an IP54-rated outdoor LED wall light with an anthracite metal frame, a walnut-effect side panel, and an integrated 13W 3000K LED producing 850 lumens through an acrylic diffuser. The rectangular housing measures 182mm wide by 114mm tall with a 132mm projection from the wall, combining the LED panel at the top with the wood-effect panel on the front face.

Designed for exterior wall mounting on porches, pathways, garden walls and entrance areas, the Ruka provides ambient downward and outward light through a 110° beam angle. The acrylic diffuser spreads the 3000K warm white light evenly without harsh glare, making it suitable for positions where the fitting is in the sightline. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes, allowing installation in exposed UK weather conditions.

The walnut-effect panel on the front face is not solid wood but a photographic finish applied to a weather-resistant substrate, allowing the wood-grain appearance without the maintenance requirements of real timber outdoors. The anthracite powder-coated frame contrasts with the mid-brown walnut tones, giving a two-tone appearance that pairs with both modern rendered facades and traditional brick or stone. The 1.28kg weight and rear mounting plate provide stable wall fixing on masonry surfaces.

Is the walnut panel real wood?

No. The walnut panel is a photographic wood-effect finish applied to a weather-resistant composite substrate. This allows the appearance of natural wood grain without the expansion, contraction, splitting or maintenance requirements of real timber in outdoor conditions.

Can the LED be replaced?

The 13W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to around 8-10 years at typical residential usage patterns of 6-8 hours per night.

What type of wall surface is needed for installation?

The Ruka requires a solid masonry surface such as brick, block or rendered wall. The rear mounting plate is fixed with screws and wall plugs into the masonry, so installation on timber cladding or hollow panels may require additional backing support.
