Description

This is the small one in the Ruka range, a low, compact floor lamp finished in anthracite with walnut detail. The LED sits inside the body, so there is no lamp to fit or replace, and it draws 13W for 850 lumens of warm white light. Output is fixed rather than dimmable, so it comes up at full strength from the switch.

We reach for it where a tall standard lamp would crowd the room: beside an armchair, at the foot of a stairwell, or by a doorway where light at floor level does more good than a bright overhead. It is sealed against dust and splashing water, so it can also go outside under cover, on a porch, in a loggia or on a sheltered terrace, and it takes a wet evening in its stride. Anyone furnishing in dark tones and wood will find it sits quietly with what is already there.

The anthracite is a soft dark grey that hides dust and fingerprints, and the walnut warms it so the lamp does not read as purely industrial. Wipe the housing over with a damp cloth now and then, dry it off, and keep sprays away from the light itself; nothing more is asked of it. The driver is built in, so there is no separate control gear to find a home for. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the same design in three sizes, so the small one can mark a doorway while a larger one anchors a corner, and there is a matching wall light in the range, including a version with a motion sensor for entrances and side passages.
