Description

The Rovito is a square LED panel light that sits close to the ceiling, 39cm long, 39cm wide and only 3cm deep. A slim black plastic frame surrounds a white plastic diffuser, so the light spreads evenly across the face of the panel rather than gathering in one bright spot. The LEDs are integrated and give out 2,400lm, a generous output for a hallway, kitchen or bedroom. It is rated IP44, meaning it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as the dry rooms of the house, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

Because the panel is so shallow, it suits rooms with lower ceilings, where a pendant would get in the way, and it works well along a hallway or landing. The black frame draws a crisp outline against a pale ceiling and sits comfortably with black picture frames and dark furniture. The colour temperature adjusts from 2700K to 6500K, so the same light can be a warm white for a relaxed evening and a bright, cool white when you are cooking, reading or getting ready in the morning. It is dimmable too, so one ceiling light can cover busy tasks and a gentle glow alike.

A remote control comes in the box, and it takes a CR2032 coin cell. There is no switch on the panel itself: it is switched at the wall and runs on mains power at 220-240V. Both the body and the diffuser are plastic, and the whole light weighs 1.2KG. The LEDs and driver are not replaceable, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
