Description

This round stoneware planter brings a burst of colour to any surface, with raised bobble dots scattered across a creamy glazed body and a faux plant already settled inside. The top edge is finished in a deep teal green and cut into soft scallops, while the dots come in pink, blue, orange, lilac and lime green. A narrow green band sits at the foot. It measures 13cm across, a compact size that fits neatly on a small shelf or a busy desk. The plant has clusters of round, bright green leaves on slender stems, giving the pot a fresh, lively look from every side.

Because the plant is faux rather than living, the planter is happy wherever you want a touch of greenery, even in a corner that sees little daylight. We like it on a desk at home, a kitchen windowsill, a bedside table or a bookshelf that needs a lift of colour. The scalloped rim and round, cheerful dots suit a playful room, a pastel scheme or a plain white shelf that wants something bright to look at. It also makes an easy, friendly gift for anyone who loves colour around the home, and it arrives with its plant already in place, so there is nothing to pot up or fuss over before it goes on show.

The pot is made from stoneware, a type of ceramic, with a smooth glossy glaze and dots that stand proud of the surface, so you can feel the bobbles under your fingertips. To keep it looking its best, dust the pot and the leaves with a soft dry cloth, and wipe the glaze with a damp cloth when it needs more than a dust. Set it beside a stack of books or a small framed print for a cheerful corner, or wrap it as a ready-made gift that needs no green fingers at all.
