The Rodas is a 300mm square anthracite outdoor wall light with an integrated 9.5W LED that produces 700 lumens of warm white 3000K light through an acrylic diffuser. The fitting comprises a square metal frame with a central projecting cube that houses the LED, creating a layered geometric profile with a 142mm projection from the wall.

Rated IP65 for dust and water-jet protection, the Rodas is built for external installation on entrance walls, porch sides, terraces and garden boundary walls. The anthracite powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion in coastal and wet environments. The acrylic diffuser prevents glare while distributing light evenly across the front face of the fitting, providing downward and outward wash light rather than a focused beam.

The square-within-a-square design creates negative space between the outer frame and the central LED cube, giving the fitting visual depth when viewed from an angle. When lit, the 700lm output is sufficient for external doorway identification and pathway orientation without overwhelming adjacent planting or seating areas. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, providing a softer outdoor glow than cooler 4000K or 6500K alternatives.

The fitting mounts directly to standard UK exterior back boxes via the rear plate. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, so when the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced. Mantra provides a 3-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and LED performance degradation.

IP65 provides complete dust protection and protection against water jets from any direction. The Rodas can withstand rain, coastal spray and garden hose cleaning. It is not submersible and should not be installed where water can pool around the fitting.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end-of-life (typically 20,000-30,000 hours of use), the entire fitting is replaced. Mantra provides a 3-year warranty covering LED performance.

Is it suitable for covered porches or must it be fully exposed?

The IP65 rating means the Rodas can be installed in fully exposed positions or under covered porches. Covered installation may extend the lifespan of the powder-coated finish by reducing UV exposure.

How bright is 700 lumens outdoors?

700 lumens at 3000K provides sufficient light for doorway identification, porch steps and pathway orientation. It is brighter than a traditional 60W incandescent bulb but not as intense as security floodlighting. Two fittings spaced 3-4m apart can adequately light a typical 6m garden wall or terrace length.
