The Ring is an 8-ring spiral LED suspension light with a matt black sandblasted metal and aluminium frame, each ring housing integrated 3000K LEDs behind clear acrylic diffusers. The eight rings descend in a helical pattern over an 80cm diameter, creating a continuous spiral form that projects 200cm from the ceiling rose as standard, adjustable between 100cm and 300cm drop height on installation.

Designed for double-height voids, stairwells, entrance halls and large open-plan living areas with ceiling heights above 3.5m, the Ring uses its vertical presence to anchor the space visually and provide ambient light distributed across multiple levels. The integrated LEDs deliver 8,100 lumens at 162W combined output, and the included remote control dims the output from full brightness down to low mood lighting. Gravity toggles are supplied to prevent rotation once installed, keeping the spiral orientation fixed.

Each ring is a continuous loop of sandblasted metal finished in matt black, with the acrylic diffuser set into the inner edge of each hoop. The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, so the rings appear as dark silhouettes when the LEDs are off and as glowing hoops when lit. The 9.7kg combined weight requires a secure ceiling fixing point rated for the load plus a safety margin, and the Class 1 electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation.

The suspension wires are steel cables concealed within a central sleeve, allowing the drop height to be adjusted by shortening the cables at the ceiling rose before final installation. The remote control unit operates on infrared and must have line-of-sight to the receiver module housed in the ceiling canopy. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to halogen, and the CRI of >80 maintains reasonable colour rendering for most residential applications.

What ceiling height is needed for this suspension light?

The Ring is designed for spaces with ceiling heights above 3.5m. The adjustable drop allows installation between 100cm and 300cm, so in a 4m-high entrance hall you could set it to 250cm drop, leaving 150cm clearance below the lowest ring.

Is the remote control dimmable?

Yes. The included infrared remote dims the integrated LEDs from full output down to low ambient mood lighting. The remote requires line-of-sight to the receiver module in the ceiling canopy.

Can the spiral orientation be adjusted after installation?

The spiral pattern is fixed by the ring arrangement on the suspension cables. Gravity toggles are supplied to prevent the fitting rotating once installed, maintaining the intended orientation.

What fixing point strength is required?

The Ring weighs 9.7kg. The ceiling fixing point must be rated for at least 15kg to provide a safety margin. Installation into plasterboard ceilings requires a reinforced fixing plate or joist-mounted support.
