The Rendez-vous is an 8 light chandelier built on a brass metal frame with eight frosted white opal glass globe shades, each fitted with an E14 bulb socket. The frame extends symmetrically from a central brass rod, with curved arms positioning the globes at varied heights across a 103cm diameter spread. The brass finish has a low-sheen satin surface that reflects light without creating hard glare.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and larger bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Rendez-vous provides ambient light across a 4-5m space when fitted with eight E14 bulbs at 40W each (320W total, bulbs sold separately). The 79.2cm fixed drop positions the chandelier approximately 190cm above floor level in a standard 2.7m ceiling room, leaving adequate head clearance while bringing the light source into the mid-height zone where it illuminates faces and table surfaces rather than just ceilings. The frame fits a standard UK ceiling rose.

The opal glass globes diffuse the light from each bulb into a soft sphere rather than creating directional beams, reducing contrast and harsh shadows across the room. The brass arms use varied heights and offsets to distribute the eight globes across three-dimensional space, giving depth to the fixture when viewed from different angles. The IP20 rating limits the chandelier to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

The mid-century modern styling pairs with warm wood furniture, neutral fabrics and both contemporary and retro-inspired interiors. The brass tone works in rooms with warm colour palettes (creams, ochres, terracotta) and provides contrast in cooler grey or white schemes. The metal construction and glass shades allow for straightforward maintenance with a dry microfibre cloth on the brass and a barely-damp cloth on the opal glass.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Rendez-vous takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated at up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining and living room lighting.

Is the drop height adjustable?

No. The specification shows a fixed 79.2cm drop from ceiling rose to the base of the central rod. This cannot be shortened or extended during installation. Ensure your ceiling height accommodates this fixed drop before ordering.

What ceiling height is needed?

A minimum ceiling height of 2.6m is recommended. In a standard 2.7m ceiling room, the chandelier base sits approximately 190cm above floor level, leaving adequate head clearance beneath while positioning the light source in the mid-height zone.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Rendez-vous is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use where moisture exposure occurs.
