Description
The Rendez-vous is a 10 light chandelier built around a central brass stem that branches into curved arms, each terminating in a frosted opal glass globe. The arms extend in two tiers from a central hub, creating a 116cm diameter spread that fills the space above a dining table or in a double-height entrance hall. Each of the ten E14 bulb fittings sits inside a dome-shaped glass shade that diffuses the light outward and downward.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier works as a centrepiece in dining rooms seating 8-10, large living rooms, and entrance halls where the scale justifies the 116cm width. The fixed 79.2cm drop positions the lowest globes approximately 2m above floor level when fitted to a standard 2.7m ceiling, allowing clearance for movement underneath while keeping the fixture visibly present in the room. The brass frame is solid metal rather than plated, giving the finish a durable base that develops a natural patina over time.
The ten frosted opal glass globes distribute light evenly across the room rather than creating sharp downward pools, making the Rendez-vous better suited to ambient lighting than task lighting. The curved brass arms reference mid-century continental designs from the 1950s and 1960s, particularly Scandinavian and French lighting of that period. The warm brass tone pairs with wood, warm greys, terracotta and cream interiors, while the frosted glass softens the metal's reflective quality under artificial and natural light.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The chandelier takes ten E14 bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining and living room lighting.
What ceiling height is needed?
The fixed 79.2cm drop works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. In a standard 2.7m room the lowest globes sit approximately 2m above floor level, allowing clearance underneath while keeping the fixture visible.
Can the height be adjusted during installation?
No. The Rendez-vous has a fixed drop of 79.2cm from ceiling rose to the lowest point of the globes. If a shorter drop is needed, the chandelier would require modification by a qualified electrician, which may affect the warranty.
What size dining table does it suit?
The 116cm diameter spread suits dining tables between 180-240cm long, typically seating 8-10 people. For smaller tables the chandelier may visually overwhelm the space; for larger tables consider two fixtures or a different style.
