Description
The REMI is a GU10 LED spotlight bulb in the compact PAR11 format, drawing just 2.2W to give 165 lumens of warm white 3000K light. The twist-lock GU10 cap runs straight off the mains at 220-240V AC, so no transformer is needed (unlike a GU5.3 / MR16 low-voltage spot). Across the Atlantic this is the familiar mains-voltage twist-lock spot, just at a smaller PAR11 diameter than the usual PAR16. A 100 degree beam angle makes it a wide spot rather than a tight one, spreading light over a broad area instead of a single concentrated pool.
The wide 100 degree spread suits this bulb to accent and fill lighting where a softer wash is wanted rather than a sharp highlight. It works well in kitchen and living-room downlights, display niches and general ceiling spots indoors, with the warm 3000K tone giving a relaxed, homely cast that flatters timber, brick and warm decor. Because the throw is broad rather than focused, position several spots together for even coverage across a room rather than relying on one to pick out a single object. This is an indoor bulb only, rated IP20, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location.
The REMI measures Ø35 by 46 mm and weighs 18 g, with a Ra 80 colour rendering that gives accurate enough colour for everyday rooms. Efficiency works out at around 82 lm/W and the rated lifespan is 15,000 hours. It is a non-dimmable bulb, so pair it with a standard non-dimming circuit. The finish is white and the fitting is the standard GU10 twist-lock, dropping into any mains GU10 holder with a quarter turn. This bulb is part of our wider GU10 LED range, with other wattages and beam options available alongside it.

Frequently Asked
What fitting do I need for this bulb?
The REMI uses a GU10 twist-lock cap, the standard mains-voltage spotlight fitting. You simply push it into a GU10 holder and give it a quarter turn to lock. Being GU10, it runs directly off the mains and does not need a separate transformer or driver.
What old halogen wattage does it replace?
At 2.2W it draws very little power while still giving 165 lumens of warm white light. It is intended as a low-energy replacement for an older halogen GU10 spot, using a fraction of the electricity for a comparable output in this PAR11 size. Over its 15,000 hour rated life that adds up to a useful running-cost saving.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, the REMI is a non-dimmable bulb. It should be used on a standard non-dimming circuit and switch. Fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life, so keep it on a plain on/off control.
What does the 100 degree beam angle mean in use?
A 100 degree beam is a wide spread, so the light fills a broad area rather than focusing into a tight spot. That makes it better for general fill and soft accent lighting than for picking out a single object. For even coverage across a room, run several spots together rather than relying on one.
