Description
The Reka is a compact outdoor wall light that fixes to a house front, entrance or garden wall to mark the space with a clean up and down beam. It draws 7W and pushes out up to 500 lumens at a neutral 4000K, with a maximum 90 degree spread that throws light both upward and downward across the face it sits against. The square 100 x 100 x 100 mm body keeps the fitting tidy and unobtrusive, so the light itself does the work rather than the housing. As an exterior wall light, or façade light in US terms, it suits doorways, porches and feature walls where a balanced, symmetrical wash is wanted.
Reka works best on sheltered exterior surfaces such as a porch, a covered entrance or a carport soffit, and on protected indoor walls too. The twin up and down throw grazes the wall to graze textured brick, render or stone and lift an entrance after dark, rather than flooding a wide area, so think of it as accent and wayfinding light close to where it is mounted. Pairing two or three along a frontage at a consistent height gives an even rhythm of light across the building line. Its 4000K neutral tone reads crisp and modern against pale render and white-painted walls.
Built from aluminium alloy in a white finish, the Reka carries an IP54 rating that handles splashes and damp from sheltered positions, though it should be kept clear of fully exposed spots, direct water jets and standing water. The integrated LED runs direct from 220 to 240V AC mains and is rated for 30,000 hours, with a Ra 80 colour rendering output. It is not dimmable and is wall mounted via the rear plate. Other finishes and beam formats sit within the wider Reka range for matching a frontage.

Frequently Asked
Can the Reka be used outdoors?
Yes, it is rated IP54, which protects against splashes and damp in sheltered positions such as a porch, covered entrance or carport. It should be kept clear of fully exposed locations, direct water jets and standing water. For a protected wall it works well outdoors or indoors.
How does the up and down light effect work?
Light is emitted from both the top and bottom of the fitting, so it throws a beam upward and downward across the wall it is mounted on. This grazes textured surfaces such as brick or render and frames an entrance, giving a symmetrical accent rather than a wide flood. The maximum 90 degree spread keeps the effect close to the fitting.
Does it take a replaceable bulb?
No, the Reka uses an integrated LED rather than a replaceable lamp. It is rated for 30,000 hours and delivers up to 500 lumens at 4000K, so there is no bulb to source or swap. The unit runs direct from 220 to 240V AC mains.
How high should it be mounted?
For entrances and frontages, mounting at roughly head height or just above gives a balanced up and down wash without glare at eye level. Spacing two or three units evenly along a wall keeps the rhythm of light consistent. The fitting is wall mounted via its rear plate.
