This is a velvet cushion in a deep burgundy red, woven with a broad vertical stripe. The stripe is jacquard rather than printed, which means it is built into the cloth as a change in the direction of the pile: bands of matt and sheen sit side by side, so the pattern shifts as the light and your eye move across it.
