Description

The Regello is a slim LED mirror light in black: a long bar with a white plastic diffuser running its full length, held off the wall on a neat black bracket. It is 60cm long, 4cm high and stands 13cm out from the wall, so the light is thrown forward, towards whoever is standing at the mirror. The body is plastic and aluminium, and the light comes from integrated LEDs drawing 12W for an output of 1,350lm. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so this is a bathroom mirror light in the true sense.

Fit it above a bathroom mirror or along the top of a mirror cabinet; a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. It suits anyone who wants clear, even light for shaving or make-up, and a gentler glow at bedtime. The colour temperature runs from 2700K, a warm white, to 6500K, a crisp cool white close to daylight, so you can match the light to the hour. It is dimmable, and the colour-changing RGB setting adds a wash of colour whenever you want a slower, more relaxed bath. At 60cm long, it spans a good width of mirror without crowding the wall.

Through the app you can dim the light, change the colour temperature and choose a colour. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is turned on and off at the wall switch, which keeps the bar uncluttered. The black finish draws a crisp outline around the white diffuser, and aluminium does not rust, a plus in a steamy room. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. It weighs 0.72KG packed, so it is easy to handle while it is being fitted.
